This project is in collaboration with Wendy Garcia Castellanor a student of FAMCA in Havana, Cuba. I asked to spend the day with her and have her point out to me everything she found interesting or beautiful. I made the request knowing she had always lived on this island, it had become her everyday. I was a tourist looking in, I wanted to see what she found beautiful in her home. The day of, we walked around Regla. As we took photographs she would point to something and explained to me what she saw or she would just stop walking and I would try to find what she was seeing. In the end, the photographs chosen were those holding similarities, showing my attempt to see through her eyes.
